About the site
Commercial Partnerships
Nobody pays to read South Africa Casinos Online; operators pay instead, when readers open accounts with them. Below is the unvarnished version: who sends us money, in exchange for what, which links earn it and what that changes. Companion pages: terms, disclaimer, privacy.
Who pays the site
Zarafel Publishing FZ-LLC holds contracts with casino brands and bookmakers, mostly via their affiliate programmes. Each contract obliges the operator to send us either a flat sum or a cut of its income once someone referred by us registers and funds an account. You pay us nothing – no subscription, no paywall, no premium tier.
What it costs you
Zero. Clicking our button or typing the casino’s web address by hand gets you an identical welcome deal on identical terms. Should an operator ever give our readers a special version, the page will spell it out.
Where commercial links appear
| Place on the site | Kind of link |
|---|---|
| Casino and betting lists on hub pages | paid – “Visit” and “Get bonus” buttons |
| Buttons inside operator reviews | paid |
| The “where to play” strip on slot pages | paid |
| Any address that begins with /go/ | paid – a hop through to the operator |
| Links to regulators, the NRGP, game studios and sources | unpaid – there for reference only |
Inside a /go/ click
Every /go/ address is a relay: you end up at the operator, which learns that our guide sent you. While forwarding, our domain drops two brief cookies, mozbiz_session and XSRF-TOKEN, gone after roughly 20 hours – on top of mz_vid and mz_src, which arrive with any page. The cookie policy covers all four. After that the operator may add cookies under its own rules.
Positions in our lists
Pretending the contracts leave no trace would be dishonest. A partner can climb a list or win a highlighted box, and a brand without a contract may be missing from a list entirely. What no contract buys is different facts: rand bonus amounts, playthrough multiples, payment methods and licence details come straight from what the operator itself publishes, paying partner or not.
How the editors work
Our method is documented in the rating guidelines and the editorial principles. A brand licensed only overseas, without any South African provincial licence, is labelled that way in its review.
How the payments are calculated
Affiliate deals come in three shapes. CPA pays one flat amount per new player who signs up and funds an account. Revenue share hands over a slice of the operator’s earnings from our referred players for as long as those players stay active. Hybrid mixes a reduced flat amount with a reduced slice. We keep the rates private – they vary by brand and over time – and the shape of a deal plays no part in whether a review comes out positive.
What we turn down
Money in return for publishing a review, lifting a score, deleting criticism or calling an unconfirmed brand licensed is refused. So are operator-written advertorials dressed up as editorial, and so is paying readers cash or prizes to register through our links.
When an agreement ends
Contracts expire. When one does, that brand’s buttons may point straight at its homepage or vanish, and its list position can shift. The review stays up with unchanged facts until our next check, since existing customers still rely on it.
Buttons without a label
An operator button is commercial whether or not it says so. Treat each one, and every highlighted offer box, as advertising placed under contract.
Betting pages
Bookmakers are handled identically. A contracted betting brand may top our list of betting apps, yet odds, markets and payout speeds are reported as found. To be sure a bookmaker really holds a South African licence, check with the provincial board its footer names.
The news desk
News stories carry no operator buttons unless the story is itself about a specific brand’s offer, and nobody pays for a story to run. When a report covers a partner – a new licence, a fine, a sponsorship deal – the partner gets no preview and no veto, and unflattering news about a paying brand is published the same way as anyone else’s.
The reason for this page
Our comparisons are paid for, in part, by the very companies they compare – and you should hear that from us. Saying so openly lets you weigh our lists accordingly: use them as a starting shortlist, then make the decisive checks – licence, terms, payout record – on your own.
Your part
Read the operator’s rules ahead of any deposit, confirm its licence, and remember that South Africa allows gambling from age 18 only. Once it stops feeling like entertainment, ring the National Responsible Gambling Programme free on 0800 006 008.
Changes
A change in how the guide earns money means a change to this page, plus a new “Updated” line.
